Jonathan Woodhall – Acting Bio

Jon Woodhall

Jonathan began his journey in acting during high school when he played as the husband in one act play “Out The Window” and Mr. Western in “Tom Jones.” Originally, Jonathan began acting to prepare for his future endeavors in WWE wrestling, going to Storm Wrestling Academy in 2007 for a short time before realizing that wrestling wasn’t for him. While there, Jonathan had the pleasure of working with WWE superstars Lance Storm and Chris Jericho, even receiving his photo and an honorable mention in Jericho’s autobiography, “Undisputed” (look for the Fighting Action Guy).

In 2010, Jonathan was accepted into the Acting for Stage and Screen program at Capilano University. Around the same time, he blogged about school and documented his entire experience at Capilano. Since 2005, Jonathan has attained many achievements including:

  •  A recurring role on History Television’s Battle Castle.
  • A leading role in Battle Castle the video game.
  • Lead roles in seven different student films at Capilano University, including Crosshairs by John Morrison.
  • Diploma in Acting for Stage and Screen from Cap U, receiving training from professionals such as Stuart Aikins and Jackson Davies.
  • A lead role in Hedges, Arbutus Studio’s annual play festival.
  • Consistently casted in all four semester plays with Exit 22 Productions.
  • Strong experience in theatrical and film acting, fight scene coordination, and self created work.
  • Experience in film script writing and producing.

Besides acting, Jonathan has had multiple experiences in many other fields, but that’s another story. Currently, Jonathan has been cast as Zach Van Poele in the 2012 web series “Choose Your Victim” and is in the works for producing an untitled short film.
